Still masking? I completely understand why most people were more than happy to kiss them goodbye. But for my part, I’m still masking. Orange county has relaxed its rules about this. I’m not quite ready to go all the way mask optional in my practice just yet though.
But it’s not about me. I treat a lot of clients who are immunocompromised, and it seems relatively easy to minimize everyone’s risk while we’re still figuring out where we’re headed with this pandemic. So, for now, clients can choose to pull their masks down while lying face down in the face cradle when exhales will closest to my air purifier. But I expect and am grateful for clients to continue wearing masks during the rest of their time in my office.
Here’s what else I’ve been doing to help ensure your safety:
OFFICE PROTOCOL
ALL linens you come into contact with are, as always, laundered and dried on hot settings according to industry standards. Clean linens are stored behind a closed door cabinet, and used linens are isolated.
Thorough hand washing has always been my practice between clients. That’s only increased during these times.
A HEPA air purifier runs all day to clean the air in my office of viruses and other particulates. I’ve used this for years. Now though, I crank the filter’s power up between clients
The number of sessions/day has been reduced by 20% throughout the pandemic to allow for more time/space between clients.
